Graduation project | Neue Schule für Fotografie Berlin | November 2021

[oser: to dare; métamorphoser: to change, to reshape, to transform, to develop] Essentially a therapeutic dialogue between a mother and daughter after breast cancer, it is also an essay on the feminine and the pluralistic ever-changing relationship of women to their bodies. The aim is to shine a light on the process of reconstruction, the metamorphosis that continues long after the recovery is considered complete from a medical point of view. To show this disease, which is not only potentially fatal but also deeply challenges female identity and symbolic, in a different way and through photography. On the one hand, with the aim of reclaiming one's body, self-confidence and self-image. On the other hand, to make visible the underlying feminist and social themes that emerge from breast cancer.
